In fact, failing was one of the BEST things that could have happened because it wasn't just a SUPER cheap education on how to NOT run a business, but it also what opened my eyes to the consulting business model that has grown my new company from $0 to more than $200,000 in less than a year.

The Top 3 Mistakes Made By New and Growing Consultants

Mistake 1: Forgetting the Right Mindset
A few years back, a friend of mine went to a leadership seminar. One of the first activities they did was to raise as much money in 3 hours as possible, to help provide meals for people who couldn't afford food on their own. Their group started planning and made a goal to help 10,000 people. They made calls asking for money to buy food, found a local shelter to donate the food to, and ended up raising enough money to help more than 15,000 people in just a few hours.

Mistake 2: Building the Wrong Toolset
Another one of my friends is a hard-core (recovering) perfectionist. AND he's a business owner.

If your inner beliefs are not serving you and your business, then you

what beliefs and values are preventing you from reaching your true
potential. Those beliefs need to be replaced with beliefs that will put

Your mind needs to be focused in a single direction if you want to

Having effective capture pages followed by a funnel will make you a god
of marketing. It doesn�t really matter whether you know everything about
marketing if you have nobody to market products and services to. What
you really need are people who want exactly what you have to offer.
This means capturing leads and the only way to collect leads online is
through squeezes pages or opt-in pages. If you want to truly become
successful online, then this is absolute most important skill you can
develop.

to present leads with a product or service in a certain way so you can
turn them into paying customers.

The key to selling is helping solve people�s problems regardless of
whether this is online, on the phone, or in person. As long as you give
people a solution to their problems, they will become a customer and
listen to you for a long time.

As a leader, it�s your responsibility to lead your team by example. If
you�re not getting in the top package, you shouldn�t expect anybody in
your team to do so. Leading by example and getting in touch with your
team�s core desires will help you truly upsell your team.

There are twelve steps to creating a presentation that works for any
type of presentation (online, conference calls, hotel meetings, etc.)
This formula is:

Don�t ever focus on helping everyone. It�s important to focus on
producing for a specific niche because you can upsell one group better

Teach your team to give results-based testimonials and they�ll be able
to sell much more efficiently. Remember to talk about the �before and
after� of the problem, the solution, and what happened as a result of
that solution.
*Module 11: Live Local Event Recruiting Sales Strategy*
To truly reach financial freedom, you need to stop being the hunter and
start being the hunter. Automation is essential for a live event and
creating an event funnel including registration, a thank you page, and
email communication will make you more money.

Live groups force people to attend, which means you need to have
excellent communication skills, including being able to send a clear
call to action. Live groups are beneficial because they help build a
