Hello everyone!

In this class you'll learn some useful techniques* that I apply when I work with DXF files of real clients.

All with the brand new Blender 2.8!

In this kind of Archviz projects, you must be fast and accurate (especially if you're freelancing) in terms of wall measurings. With this method is a breath!

I'll provide you the DXF file, so you can follow me if you want during the class.

You'll learn in 4 easy steps how to go from DXF to 3D:

Import DXF layout and check scale

Cleanup the mesh

Extrude walls, floor and ceiling

Closing door gaps and walking through

*Beginner-Intermediate level

By the way, this is the first part of a series I'm preparing where you'll learn the steps to achieve realistic interior renders. Having a look on placing doors, windows, details, setting materials, lighting (EEVEE?), rendering and postproduction. All in the brand new Blender 2.8!

Requirements

Plan to spend 5-10 hours per week on this course to be most successful.
Windows, Mac, or Linux laptop/desktop. Tablets are not sufficient.
You should have basic computer literacy, and be comfortable with arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
We'll explain software installation.

Description

Great Introduction to Coding

This course teaches programming for absolute beginners. It provides over 50 hands-on coding exercises, so you spend most of your time getting good at coding, not just watching videos. The difficulty builds gradually so you're always ready for the next step.

Most people can complete this course in about 6 months at 5 hours per week.

Refined in a Classroom
This course material has been used for 3 years in a face-to-face classroom for job training. This has resulted in many refinements to the course material, eliminating bugs and errors, and ensuring no steps are missing, so you can trust the quality of the course.

Many of the classroom students are now working in professional software development, and have had wonderful things to say about this course. "It's hard, but in a good way, and everything is explained well; I don't get lost."

Native English Speaker

All voice-over is done by me (your instructor), and I'm a native English speaker from the midwest of the United States; I speak clearly and carefully. I also provide full text transcripts of all videos, and am working on closed captioning, so that you can easily follow along with what I'm saying.

Videos are Easy to Review

The course assumes basic computer literacy but no prior programming experience. We'll start out simple and carefully explain every step.

I explain new vocabulary every step of the way so you don't get lost, and I make sure the topics don't skip around. Each topic gently prepares you for the next topic in the course. I focus on the core Java language, especially the most important areas you would actually use on the job.

I use lots of pictures, code examples with arrows pointing out the important parts, and careful demonstrations of how and why things work.

Every video starts with an overview slide, so you can quickly review code examples when you come back to it later. Then we go into the details, and summarize at the end with some journal questions for you to remember, apply, and elaborate on the material you've just learned.

Hands-on Practice

The early part of the course emphasizes hands-on practice and repetition to build a strong memory of the material. Then as we introduce more complex topics, it shifts to software design and strategies for problem solving, so you're ready for the next level.

Practice assignments use what you just learned, in a simple exercise. Challenge assignments use the same topics, but in a more interesting and complex way. Freestyle assignments give you a few requirements and then encourage you to get creative, building your own ideas. I found that learners who only do class exercises don't get enough practice at creating their own ideas, which holds them back professionally. Freestyle exercises give you that necessary practice and are also great fun!

Good for Teachers

This material is well-suited to teaching computer science in junior high and high schools, as a more advanced approach than using Scratch. Teachers with advanced students will find this useful for both themselves and their students.

Acknowledgements

Most graphics were licensed through PresenterMedia (obligatory attribution) - many thanks to them for providing such great concept graphics with the ability to customize colors and text. The colorful slides and memorable pictures make learning coding a lot more fun.

Who this course is for:

Udemy / Darrin Lile | Duration: 9 h 03 m | Video: H264 1920x1080 | Audio: AAC 48 kHz 2ch | 2,40 GB | Language: English | 2019

Beginning with the modeling, we'll use Blender 2.

8 to build all the individual pieces of a Lego character. And then you'll learn how to UV map each of the parts, and then create an efficient, unified UV map of the entire character. We will use Blender's texture painting tools to create the clothes of the character, and we'll use the sculpt tools to create the high res details of the hair. You'll then learn how to bake a normal map in Blender and apply the textures to the character model.

Next, we'll work on rigging the character. We will begin with a single bone, and create the rig manually, so you can see how a character rig is built from the ground up. You'll learn how to create a Foot Roll Rig and how to use Blender 2.8's new process for creating Custom Shapes to control the character.

Once the rig is done, I'll show you a cool technique, using Blender 2.8's new Grease Pencil tools, to animate both a 2D drawn face and a 3D body at the same time. With this technique, we will create the character's Idle, Run, and Jump animations, ready to be used in a game engine.

You will then learn how to export the character, animations, and textures out of Blender and bring them into the Unity game engine. And here you will learn how to set-up the character in the game and even how to retarget third-party animations onto our character, using Unity's Humanoid Rig system.

Finally, we will write a simple C# script to incorporate our 2D and 3D animations, and get the character running around the level.

If you've ever wanted to create a game character, and are interested in getting up to speed in Blender 2.8, then this course is for you. So join me as we create a game character in Blender 2.8.

The #1 online business calculus course on the Web!

Learn business calculus the easy way with mnemonics (memory tricks) What you'll learn

Find the derivative of any function confidently

Apply derivatives in a wide variety of applications

Use integrals to find areas under curves, among other applications

Requirements

Basic Algebra

Description

Pssst.. Hey, You!

Are you a business student frustrated by business calculus, finding it too hard, fast-paced and/or abstract?

Is learning business calculus as much (or even less) fun than watching paint dry?

Does your professor have you finding derivatives, when you can't even remember how to divide fractions?

Is business calculus taking over your life?

If you answered yes to any of the questions above, keep on reading.

Intro

Hi, my name is Luis, and I have been tutoring business calculus for the past 8 years. I understand 100% how frustrating, difficult and painful this class is to a lot of business students.

Students' hatred for business calculus is well-documented. We tutors of course agree it is difficult. But its difficulty is largely because the explanations provided by typical textbooks/professors are completely horrible. They are unclear, ambiguous and too long.

This Course

For these reasons, I created the essential business calculus course, specifically designed for business students. This course avoids the complexity and boringness of your college textbook/professor to explain concepts and problems clearly. Instead, in this course, you will find the following:

Clear and to-the-point explanations of all the important concepts in business calculus

Practice problems for every concept explained, which are done step-by-step with a voiceover so you know exactly what's going on

Practice exercises for you to solve after learning a new concepts

Dozens of mental tricks (mnemonics) I have developed over the years to easily remember definitions and complex rules

A summary of the most important concepts for each section for you to easily review

Take my course, and business calculus will finally start making sense for you. Trust me, there will be a lot of "oohs" and "ahhs" in this course :-)

Who This Course is For

If you are a business student and you are struggling through business calculus, this course was made for you!

Mnemonics

I have developed several "mnemonics" (mental tricks used to remember things easily), which will make even the hardest concepts in the class fun and easy to remember. For example you might be wondering...

- What does a famous Canadian catchphrase have to do with logarithms?

- How in the world are the chain rule and an "ugly Xbox" related?

- Can thinking about a driver's license help you solve a continuity problem?

These and many more associations will have you remembering calculus concepts in a breeze. They are especially useful, as all of us sometimes happen to blank out when we have a question in front of us.

What the Course Covers

The course covers the main topics given in a typical business calculus class. You are pretty much guaranteed to see most, if not all of the topics below as you go through your semester.

Functions and Graphing

Limits and Continuity

Derivatives

Differentiation Rules

Applications of Derivatives

Exponential & Logarithmic Functions

Integrals

Of course, I am always adding new tutorials to this course. If you don't see your topic listed here, send me a private message and I will help in any way I can.

My Promise

As I explain in the course itself, business calculus is not easy. Especially for business students, who wonder why they have to take this class all the time. My course removes the frustration out of business calculus and makes things clear.

At the same time, however, I cannot make you pay attention in class, nor can I make you sit down and do your homework. Ultimately, whether you pass the class or not is completely up to you. But I am here to help you do just that!
